APS Provides Engineering & Project Management Services for Ethanol Plant Re-Start

APS is providing engineering design and on-site project management support for multiple projects associated with the re-start of a previously shuttered 100 million gallon per year ethanol production plant in South Bend, Indiana.  Services include the design of a reverse osmosis boiler feed water system, repairs to a 250 foot tall emissions stack, re-building of two 240,000 pounds/hour – 650 psi natural gas fired boilers, the rebuild of a 600 psi steam turbine, repairs to the underground utilities and various electrical and control upgrades.  The project began early in 2014 in anticipation of a mid 2015 restart of the facility, now under the new management of Noble Americas South Bend Ethanol, LLC. a U.S. subsidiary of Noble Energy.
